One day - perhaps not too far away - Artificial Intelligence (AI)
will allow robots to do most of the work that is now done by humans.
Many will be without pay packets. There simply won't be enough "paid jobs" to do.
So, many democracies will upgrade themselves to "happi"ocracies - the defining feature of which is "HAPPIMONEY FOR ALL".
Every
month, each member country of the Happimoney Monetary System (HMS)
will create new happimoney and distribute it equally to all of its
citizens (or, in the case of happiocracies, to those who have been
upgraded to citizen-shareholder-representatives, or "hereditors").
Artifical
Intelligence is becoming more and more intelligent and the Futurists
predict that one day AI Robots (AIRs) may even become more intelligent
than humans. And the scare mongers even fear that AIRs may collude
together and do things that we, their human "masters", don't want or
don't even know aboutciti.
All of this is speculation
and may never happen. But what is predictable is that almost all human
jobs will be able to be done by AIRs. The AIRs will produce all the
things we want, and perform all the services we need. So full
unemployment will be the order of the day (except for those involved in
further development of the AIRs.
What is the answer?
What will people do? Quite apart from fulfilling their duties as
citizens or hereditors, there are a myriad of things for people to do:
1.
People will do what the rich already do: they will look after their
own private affairs: their property, investments, meetings and projects.
2.
People will continue to do what they love to do, whether paid or not.
Entertainers, painters, artists, writers, poets, designers, sculptors,
dancers, ballerinas, ... the list goes on and on. Many people love
their jobs. There is no rule saying people can't "work" if that's what
they want to call it.
3. People will explore, invent,
innovate, and otherwise compete with AIRs: they will do whatever the
robots have not yet got around to doing.
4. People will do what they do when they are on holiday: travel, laze in the sun, have parties, whatever.
5. People will have Time to better enjoy their relationships.
6.
People will do whatever they now do in their free time: golfing, sports
of all kinds, watching TV, gardening, further education, reading,
writing, chatting whatever are their hobbies,
Fear
not. Artificial Intelligence is not going to make life boring. On the
contrary, in many ways, it will enhance our choices; it will enable us
to pursue Life, Liberty and Happpiness. In short, it will help us to
achieve "Emancipation of the MOO".
What a great idea? The small problem is that we shall need money
Which is where Happimoney For All comes into play.
This

much and when will it be distributed ... and more. It also describes
"happiocracy" - an upgrade of democracy which requires the adoption of
Happimoney For All, as well as happiocracy's component parts - happiLaw,
